The Santa Monica Farmers' Market is a fun mix of food, treats, and gazillions of yuppies. It's a perfect way to picnic on the lawn, chat with friends, and listen to live music.

There are always tons of children running around being shown off to this or that adult. The kids can ride ponies if they want. I hope there's no age limit so I can get a ride one day. The noble steeds for this purpose are a set of six rather dour looking horses, who kindly stop for me to draw them every few minutes.

One woman was shouting "There's no Excuse for Animal Abuse!", "Shame on the Parents for Letting Animals be Mistreated!" She got almost zero response, except for a guy asking her to go away and do something productive. I can only imagine if she got her way, and the horses were let go, to roam free... in Santa Monica. Would the homeless go on horseback?
